Flavia also directed the documentary “Strip of Sand” (Faixa de Areia) in 2004 with Daniela Kallman. The film is about the Rio de Janeiro beaches and was broadcasted on the GNT channel.
She directed the documentaries “Addiction to Freedom” (Vício da Liberdade) about the life of Evandro Lins e Silva in 2002, together with Eduardo Vaisman and Vinicius Reis.
“Vício da Liberdade was a very important film for me, since I filmed my grandfather for a few years, and we got very close. I had some sensitive questions I needed to ask him and I came to admire him even more after the film was finished. My grandfather, Evandro Lins e Silva was a great jurist, a great defender of freedom and alternative penalties.”
