Flávia Lins e Silva was born in Rio de Janeiro, has a degree in Journalism, a postgraduate degree in children’s literature from UAB, in Barcelona, and a master’s degree in children’s literature from the University of Roehampton, in the United Kingdom. With more than ten published books, Flávia is mainly known for having created the series “Pilar’s Diary” (Diário de Pilar) and “Blue Building Detectives” (Detetives do Prédio Azul). In 2011, she won the FNLIJ award for her book “Mururu in the Amazon” (Mururu na Amazônia).
She has a magical hammock that takes her to many places. She has traveled to Greece, the Amazon, Egypt, Machu Picchu, Africa, China, and now she has just returned from India!
